You could import an circle image and put it on a layer with 50 Mask or on a clip directly

or

Use Solid from Sources or Effects and apply Kaleidoscope with maximum angles and input rotation to .23 and it's a close circle shape and put it on a layer with 50 Mask

Or solid, with Vignette with 100% roudness, 0 softness and size anywhere from .16 to .80 and layer at 50 Mask

I've made a .png circle file for masking to solve this. But i think the best way will be if resolume guys will create circle crop effect with changeable radius. For a future. ;)

Something like the Circles effect you mean? Or do you need to crop the video without distorting it?

you could make one in photoshop in about five seconds and key your content to it, or just make it without a background in the center.

if you know the resolution of your projection and basic mathematics you can even get the exact pixel count down pretty easily

I can't believe it's still not possible to create a circular vignette using the default effect in Resolume.

Why is there no adjustment for this? Having only an oval is very restrictive. We shouldn't need to be using workarounds.

Seeing that over 90% of all content used on the Resolume userbase is a 16:9 aspect ration, a perfect circle would look a bit silly, eh?
It takes about 10 seconds to build this in Photoshop or MS Paint. If you don't like workarounds you can always write a ffgl ;)

No, because a circle is what I want. The idea is to layer it and have background graphics visible around the sides. Not silly.

What if a user wanted to replicate the view though a telescope or similar? Is that 16:9?

I think the vignette effect could be improved by allowing more shapes.

This is the way. I have spoken. :)
