To all creative peoples:
In a sleepy little city, the most remote capital city on earth, a small group of artists dreamed of getting their work to the world.
* The VJs-video artists wanted to find good music to work with, but they couldn't afford licencing fees.
* The musicians wanted video clips to promote their music, but as independant unsigned acts, they had no money to produce such clips.
* A dancer-choreographer wanted to make innovative short dance films but didn't know any film-makers. Oh, and she didn't have a budget either.
They met and got all excited about working together to produce multimedia works, short video pieces, that they could ALL use to promote their work within their own field. This worked well. It was good. Much fun was had.
Then came the idea to network other such creative clusters. Why?
We knew that producing works was only half-way there, we needed to market them too, That was where the concept of producing a DVD, a communal showreel, came in.
Now what we needed was a concept to tie it all together... It worked for the pop song, so why not...

We decided that giving each DVD a theme would make the pieces more cohesive and agreed on the first theme "Light and Night". This first cycle will close on 30th September 2005.
So now YOU come in. Using our eGroup or your own networks, you can find people to collaborate with and submit works to fit the criteria.
We'll then consider them for inclusion in the project, and if successful, your work will appear on DVD and the website to be delivered to potential markets such as TV stations, Festivals and the like.
We don't take over your copyright - that remains yours, so you can sell the work to any potential market you like. We just require a non-exclusive licence to use the works as specified. No money changes hands, it's just a mutually beneficial co-operative arrangement. Along with giving away copies of the DVDs to potential markets, we will sell the DVDs and seek sponsorship to cover the project's costs.
