Midi controller delay?

I'm planning to build a Midi-controller box myself, but I want to be sure that those knobs will have absolutely no delay for changing fps in channels (for example). Does anyone here use Midi-controllers? If so, can you tell me if it really works (bugfree)...

why don't you go to http://www.ucapps.de ,this guy builts a fuckin'midi controller with sequencer and he may answer to your questions
