after effects- expressions

wouldn't it be great if you could control expressions of after effects compositions directly in resolume, like you do it with flash files? i guess there's no way to do this, but i would love it.......

Both AS & Expressions are based on Java. A little tweaking and its pretty much the same composition.

learn more about expressions here (video-tutorials!!)

another idea i had: what about a command line for each layer in resolume for declaring a list of files played one after the other, e.g.: [d;3;a;t;(loop)] using the shortcuts of resolume- first res plays video d, then video3,........., then video t and then it starts again with video d. or better: [d;3*2;a;t*4;(loop)] for declaring how often one video is played before the next one in the list is played.......

cheers

I think the expressions are used by after effects and that the final result is rendered to an avi file. So the expressions will not be present anymore in the final file.
So we would not be able to do anything with that.

Hi,

The command text field is interesting.
We had some thought's about implenting a script engine of some sort.
But we have to much ideas at the moment, surely we will develop a way in the future so that users can automate resolume. So think of seqeunce possibilities or script access.

that's all i can say at the moment, too many ideas no time.

Cheers
