Ultra stable 2.2 without mouse?

Post by Sense »

Darn thing was I forgot an USB Mouse for my laptop, and in the whole place they ony had ps/2. So had to do a show with my laptops' touchpad (NOT RECOMMENDED! haha).

What surprised me was the total stability of resolume!? No crash what so ever. So perhaps you (Edwin / Bart) should look into the mouse handling code?

At the moment 2.2 with mouse crashes like 2 or 3 times in a 6 hour set. Yesterday without 7 hours straight without mouse. Ah well, perhaps something to look into.

Cheerz.

well that resolume runs more stable when you do not have a mouse probably does not have anything to do with our 'mouse-handling' code but due to the fact that you probabaly was unable to abuse resolume like you normally do :`D

we have been able to fix quite a few bugs for the upcomming release so things should improve with the next version.

You got a point there. Of course you are taking it far more easy without a mouse. Especially Right mouse button actions seem crash sensitive. Can't wait for 2.3 :)

Great work gentlemen!

Pah! all my USB ports are full of groovy things anyway and never got no space for a mouse.
I've gotten pretty good with my old trackpad (despite my spamfingers)
