HT or multiple processor support

Post by VJ Nexus »

It's a long shot, but I think that multiple cpu support would show great performance improvement. With both an HT p4 or those who do have multiple cpu computers. You could perhaps dedicate a cpu purely for the effects and audio analysis? Or even better, though quite a bit tougher I'm sure, give multiple cpu distribution setup options in the setup tabs.

I've also been playing with some 64bit programming and it would be cool if resolume supported this, however preliminary tests show that in a realtime environment the only thing that would benefit would be effects - and that would involve a recoding of all free frame effects. (would need a lot more ram to run resolume as well I'm guessing from the way 64 bit processing uses ram)
