hey... well, i would like to know what should I upgrade so I get a better video output..

I currently have an AMD Anthlon XP running win XP pro... I have a 60GB HD and 256MB RAM

My videocard is a Matrox G450 dualhead...
the problem i get is that the video is kind of slow, i get a frame by frame video, instead of a fluent one. is it the video compression?? is there a compression i should use??

should I add more RAM?? what should I do.....???

Hi Stark

i have an Athlon1.2GHz, 256 RAM, and a ATA100 7200rpm 20G hard-drive, i also have a matrox g450(eTV). I get superfast frame rates (i use 320x240 size clips) when using all channels and with 4 effects on. It could be the codec you are using for your clips that is slowing you down.
I use flash movies and for avi's, the ligos indeo5.1 codec at 95%quality - works fine for me and is very good quality.
I don't use any higher resolutions than 320x240 as performance drops off pretty fast, and in the mix, my priority is clip triggering and layering - the Matrox does an excellent job of smoothing the output.

Hope that's of some help....

Hi, i am going to try using that codec.... I just recieved my tv out cable from matrox this morning.... I have not tested it... but should I use always tv out?? because what i did was to test it with an lcd monitor through rgb and it kind of sucked. because for the speed to be allright the resolution had to be low and on a monitor you could notice it.... but when i put the resolution higher it lowered the speed.... as far as I know tvs have a lower resolution, but since its analog it smoothens the look to the human eye and you cant really see the pixels.... will tv out solve my problem??? and will i have to use dvd max???

i'll try testing it tonight, i'm late for work!!!!!

bye and thanks....
