Search Box in a layer

I have a lot of clips in a single layer, sometimes I look for a certain clip to play it, but I have to browse it manually along the layer that have 500+ clips, it would be very useful to have a search box in the layer to browse or filter clips and find quickly what we are looking at, I think it would be useful for a lot of us, Thank you.
