Hi there,
I am noticing softness in the output from Resolume. I have attached a photo of a 1m x 1m 2.6mm LED screen the left half is a direct feed from a Barco S3 into 1 LED Processor, the right side is from Resolume into a second LED Processor capturing the same MSI laptop source via Blackmagic Decklink Quad SDI Capture. I have also tried the grid image as a direct source in resolume rather than the capture but still soft. If I close resolume and put the same grid image as desktop background this is as sharp as the left side. I have swapped, tested and ruled out all hardware being the problem!
I cannot find any setting within Resolume that might improve this.
Has anyone else had this "problem" or does anyone have a fix for this??
Cheers

Re: Soft Output
Just an update, I have tried the same signal path but going through VMIX and this works and is sharp as expected so it is definitely a Resolume problem!
Re: Soft Output
Is the capture interlaced?

Re: Soft Output
Hi Zoltan, the captured source is coming in at 1080p so not interlaced.

Re: Soft Output
Decklink quads can't do progressive above 1080, 30 Hz, so if you're sending a 50 or 60 Hz signal to it, that will be interlaced.
It's also possible that there is some scaling going on in your composition, or advanced output.
Or it could be this issue which will be fixed in the next release: http://resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21202

Re: Soft Output
Thanks for the info, I have also just dropped the same grid png file on a cell and this is also "soft" like the captured input, as I say I have used the decklink capture into VMIX and output fullscreen and this is sharp?!? The composition in Resolume is just a basic 1920x1080 straight through, no scaling on inputs or outputs.. very odd??

Re: Soft Output
Sorry it is a Decklink Quad 2 which does capture up to 1080p 60
Re: Soft Output
Straight output is Full screen to display 2 or through the advanced output?
If you enable the Resolume test card is that looking sharp?

Re: Soft Output
Hi Zoltan, it is outputting through Advanced Output currently but I have checked if any different between Fullscreen output and Advanced Output but no difference. I have tried the test card and yes it does look soft also
Re: Soft Output
Is this the first time you’ve noticed this softness?
