this product looks great but i have some questions about it... as i don't use only Resolume, can this controller react with other software ?
can we change the midi configuration ? (ID, global channel, CC, MSb, LSB etc etc... )
if we can't change the configuration, can we have somewhere a list of CC and channels and so on used by ReACT ?(a downloadable file for example wich lists all knobs, buttons with the assigned CC, channel, MSB, LSB...and it's name and use within resolume)... i have to know if it will be compatible with my other VJ softwares and also sound softwares... (like a real midi controller)
How do the buttons acts ? Note ON/OFF or Note On, Note OFF ?
I just can't spend money in a tool for just only one software, i need it to be usable in other ways...
i've read in the datasheet (http://www.resolume.com/react/REACT_Dat.pdf) that it's shipped with a configuration software for windows, does this software allows me to change midi configuration ?
Thanks for your replies...
A real MIDI controller ?
hi,
sorry for the late answer.
Yes it is a real midi controller. BUT it comes pre-configured to work best with resolume.
The configuration software is still in development, and will not be available till the end of august.
You will be able to change the bahavior of the knobs (endless/pots); you can modify the shift layers (which knob gets shifted; which note it should send); Knob behavior (only note on; note on/note off; note it sends)
A list with commands and channels will be put online when we ship them in final configuration (the configuration is final, but we still have to test the push&tune functions - since we didn't have a hardware version which supported this).
