There is a possibility to connect a PS-controller via a converter to usb...but does anybody know if it is possible to use a Playstation Controller to controll different parameters in resolume?
If it works, is it possible to asign it that i can chose my videos via controlling-cross on the joypad?

At least i wanted to buy one of these dance-mat controllers (you know, these mats where you can jump on and have to solve some dancing steps) and connect it to my pc via an USB-Converter.
After this i planed to asign some videos and effects to the fields on the mat so that people could jump around on it and have a kind of interaction.

Do you think this will work with the MidiOX - Programm you have posted?
I only found a programm for MacOS called junXion to convert the signals from a PS-Controller to Midi-Signals.

Hi there back again...
i have to take this issue up again now.
Now i got everything i need (2 dance mats, one ps2usb converter box and midiox)...but i don´t get is. Maybe i´m not intelligent enough to use midiox or getting the right settings...
Does anybody know which settings have to be made, that i`m abled to convert my signals to midi.
Midiox is allways asking about a midi-input-device...but i don´t have a f***ing midi-input-device, i just got my f***ing mats and want to use them as midi-inputs.
Be the way: the mat is being recognized by my pc so i can exclude this as possible source of error.
If anybody has some information about thins for me i would be so thankfull that i would run into the next church and burn some candles for you!!!
I need this mats on friday...so time is running!

Thanks,
i also had tried VMIDIJoy...no effect
after hours of searching, trying and beating my head against my computer screen i finally found this:
http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/joy2midi/
It is very easy to handle so i was abled to configure one of my mats for resolume. Since now i haven´t tried to do it with both of my mats because it got allready late yesterday. I will try it today, but my feeling is wispering me, that it will only work with one controller.
So maybe i´ll have to go deeper in midiox...
We´ll see.
I will leave my results here for later generations of dissapointed vj´s
