Auto switch All Panels when previewing clip

Post by Intange »

I just did a show where I had 24 layers, 5 groups and had a situation where the speed was offset in the Group panel but that panel was set to another group and it took me 30mins to troubleshoot. I know the group is labelled but in the frenzy of troubleshooting in rehearsals i missed it the first time and then started to look into other possible causes. It would be nice when you click on a clip to preview, all the panels affecting the clip would switch to the panels up the chain. Group & layer. So with one click you would see everything that is affecting the clip. It could even be a checkbox in settings to "All Panels Preview" It would make troubleshooting super efficient.

Yeah I can see this being handy indeed. But not always indeed and we do not want to change the default behaviour people are used to now unless most agree we should do so, so it should be an option indeed.

An option absolutely agree.

We could also check if a modifier key is helt down, so when you 'alt' click it brings all relevant panels to the front. If they are tabs in the same group that won't be very helpful though.
