Edge Detection

hi , did something change on the Edge Detection effect ? All my effects using it look different now.
It works fine on footage or coloured objects , but its having issues with a simple geometric source.
Im doing some lines here, adding a edge detection right on, normally i would see the edges defined, now they are barely visible no matter the parameters of edge detection..

I don't think edge detect changed recently.
Which versions do you see a difference with?
Can you attach a composition, and some screenshots?

i guess its not that important. I should install an version of R5 or R6 to really compare.
I just got the feeling the look is different and it doesnt behave in my effect stacks like it used to (which have been ported from R5>R6>R7)

Oh, v5 / v6 wasn't recently
It's possible that the edge detect works a bit different in v7, but then it has been for quite a while now.

Also note that the Edge Detection in Wire has some additional features in the node panel
