Need to stop column trigger from taking over preview

I’m running one of our interactive installations using Resolume. Currently, I’m triggering columns as “scenes” using an OSC helper. I interact with people live using a text animator. However, when a column is triggered I lose my preview window for text entry in my text animator clip. Is there a way to stop the column trigger from taking over the clip preview window? Or, can I “freeze” the clip preview of the text animator? Looking for any tips pr tricks to help keep my text animator preview going, so I can use it consistently, while my columns are triggered.

Turn off external triggers move preview (something like that) under your general preferences.
