I´m not sure if this is currently available or implemented, still learning Resolume every day...
What I´m looking for is a context sensitive mapping for shortcuts:
Say you´ve got an APC40mk2 and want to use the buttons and encoders to dial in certain parameters, like transport, transform or effect settings. Unfortunately, there are just a few of them and their assignment is static. It would be great if the (encoder/button)-to-parameter mapping could adjust to what you´re working on:
For playback, have the grid buttons play clips and have the encoders mapped to the comp dashboard.
For effect chain editing/performing, have the grid buttons select the elements of a chain (dashboard, transport, cuepoints, fx etc) and map the 8x2 buttons and encoders to certain parameters in that chain.
For .... and so on.
I would be surprised if this could easily be added, so I´m not necessarily looking at truly context sensitive mappings that automatically follow the workflow.
Basically, what I´m asking for is an option to have shortcuts for loading different shortcut mappings.
Or is that already available?
Context sensitive shortcuts?
Re: Context sensitive shortcuts?
In the midi shortcut options, try setting the Target to Selected Clip / Selected Layer instead of This Clip / This Layer. I think that has the behavior you are looking for
