*** PROBLEMS WITH RESOLUME 2.3 ***
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been using 2.0 with no problems but now I have these.
1) Long, long startup time, very bad for a club situation if a reboot
is needed or short setup time. May not be fixable. Set all uneeded services to manual and turn off all uncecessary processess but still slow.
2) Clip list with thumbnail. In 2.0 it thumbnails and lists the clip thumbnail real fast when searching file directories but real slow in Resolume 2.3
3) Dragging clips stops output. Dragging a clip into the deck stops (slows to 0%) the clip from playing but then starts again when the clip is 100% loaded in the deck. This makes it impossible for me to use resolume!!!
So the biggest problem I have is that I can't pick files out easily and place them in a deck while VJing. The only workaround is to have decks premade before shows, but when I vj I have so many clips that I build decks as I vj and save the cool ones I made.
If you know any other solutions to this please let me know. 2.3 has awesome features I'd love to use while on this tour. I'll have a 3.5 month gig in a little bit and would love to be using 2.3.
Thanks!
Robert
