MacOS Ventura 13.3
iPadOS 16.4
When I plug in my iPad Pro 11” with USB-C into my MacBook to use as a 2nd extended monitor. Resolume has a problem I’ve never had before. It makes it so the content playing in composition doesn’t show up on the Preview Monitor or Composition Monitor, they are just black screens. The content will still be playing, timeline is moving, opacity is at full. But for some reason this changes the rendering of video content in software. Disconnecting iPad and rebooting laptop makes the issue go away. Also, this is with resolume open on main MacBook screen. But dragging the program to the other iPad screen also still has the preview rendering problem.

Air Play, SideCar and DuetDisplay outputs are not supported in Resolume currently, sorry.

Re: Using iPad in sidecar as 2nd monitor causes problems
Sorry to re-open this, but I wasn’t using sidecar as an output. I was merely extending my desktop to have resolume UI windows on both my MacBook and iPad. Not sure why that would make resolume rendering preview of content not possible. It’s a strange bug. But hope down the road your team is able to make it compatible as throwing an iPad in my show bag to use as a 2nd monitor at FOH would be really handyZoltán wrote: Sat Apr 29, 2023 22:04 Air Play, SideCar and DuetDisplay outputs are not supported in Resolume currently, sorry.

Seconding this. When using an iPad as a wired extended desktop, for the purpose of say watching a Resolume tutorial while following along on your main desktop, preview and program in Resolume are blacked out. This occurs without even trying to output to that second screen.

The Rest-API gives you control over Resolume from any browser: https://resolume.com/support/en/restapi
