How do I trigger a random clip on a layer?
Can it be done?
Re: How do I trigger a random clip on a layer?
Place a Solid color source to the layer, set it to transparent color, and 0,1s duration.
Set it's Autopilot to Random clip, https://resolume.com/support/en/clips#auto-pilot
trigger Solid color clip

This works perfectly. However, I have one clip basically set to black so I can easily turn the layer off. Is there a way to set Autopilot to a Random clip, but giving it a series of clips? i.e. Random EXCEPT this onePlace a Solid color source to the layer, set it to transparent color, and 0,1s duration.

trigger Solid color clip

I found myself in a similar situation where I want to say "Random between these three" too.

Just map the layer blackout button to a keyboard key or midi button instead of using a black clip.

This works perfectly - except I'm using BPM sync. So when I trigger the random clip, I get a black screen until the beginning of the next bar. Is there a way to have a clip start in the middle of the bar but stay in time if I trigger it off-beat?

I answered this on your other post with the same question.booshtukka wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:42 This works perfectly - except I'm using BPM sync.
