renaming compositions problem

Post by mowgli »

I renamed 2 comps in the compositions folder from Windows explorer yet this change is not reflected when I look at my comps in Resolume's compositions tab.

If I right-click on a renamed comp (which displays the old name) from Resolume's comp browser and click: show in explorer, it points to the correct comp with the new name though.

Is there no way to rename comps properly without resaving them from Resolume?

Composition name is saved in the xml.
It's the name you give when Resolume asks for the composition data on save, or save as.

Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

Ok thanks.
Then a feature request would be to be able to rename compositions without having to duplicate them!

Just change the name in Resolume and hit save. Since there isn't a way for xml's to update from an OS explorer option. :)

Yeah, using the 'Save-As' feature, you can duplicate your comp and not overwrite the original.
