Have you checked the option for "Power Management mode" in Nvidia settings?

If not, try to set it to "Prefer maximum performance", this helped in some cases with those glitches:

In fact, this bug I have with the extended screen blinking is very similar to the one posted here in the topic. I made the change to leave the "Buffer Flick Mode" active and we'll see if this is really the case.
But it's funny that currently it happens to flash in version 7.17 or higher, but when going back to 7.16, this problem simply stops.
Well, let's go to the tests to find out and fix this.

Same here. Random black blinking sometimes.
Using resolume 7.15
Windows 11 latest
i7-12700H
RTX 3060
Nvidia studio drivers
Output fullscreen 1920x1080@60. Composition 1920x1080.
It seems to be an incompatibility with Nvidia RTX cards...

Has anyone been able to get to the bottom of this and find a solution ?

mr_angelback wrote: Sat Aug 12, 2023 20:36 Hey Guys!

I just wanna chime in and say that we're experiencing the exact same issue!

I can also confirm that it doesn't have anything to do with release version. We're running this on an old release, 7.3.3 (I know, we should upgrade, but hasn't seen the need yet.. ).
I did update to 7.6.1 (latest version on our license), but still have the same issue.

I thought, like some others here, that our graphics card was starting to give up, so I moved our install to another computer, but after just a short while I saw the same issue from that computer too.

What I've noticed in all posts here is that everyone is running Nvidia GPUs, and so are we.

What if there is something in some of the latest nvidia drivers that is not working correctly with the resolume software?

Next week when I'm at work I'm gonna try to downgrade my graphics drivers to an older version (a year or so ago) and see if that works!
I'll let you guys know if that resolves the issue..

Hey again!

I've now run our setup with old graphic drivers (version 516.94) for about two weeks, and several events, and I haven't seen any glitching at all.

At one time the drivers auto-updated, and I saw glitching. As soon as I realized, I downgraded again and haven't seen any glitching.

So it definitely seems like there is something that changed in the drivers released a few month ago that is not working well with Resolume.

Hello everyone still experiencing this issue, I rolled back to Nvidia driver version 516.94 like Toby said above and haven't had any issues while running the past 2 days. I had to contact an Nvidia support chat agent and talk to their supervisor to get it. I tried asking them about the issue but they said it was on Resolume's side  and wouldn't investigate it. Here's the link so you don't have to deal with them.

Driver Link(OLD VERSION 516.94): https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 967/en-us/

Will update if we encounter more issues.

I tried updating to the latest Nvidia driver, 537.42, and the glitching came back almost immediately. Seems like 516.94 is the best option for now.

So I have been having this issue also. I have two (Well I used to) identical machines and oddly the issue only occurred on one of them. About $4000 later through replacing every single piece of Hardware, I was horrified to see the problem was still there.
However, I have made one potentially critical observation. The flickering only occurs when Resolume is not the main focus. By this I mean, for example, A file explorer window is open on top of resolume. As soon as Resolume becomes main focus again, the flickering stops.
My experience/issue with this may or may not be related to others, and it doesn't explain why only one system is affected. But I thought worth mentioning.

This issue is still prevalent for us, I feel like i’ve exhausted all options. Reinstalls, old drivers, new drivers, old versions of Arena, new versions of Arena. At this point i’ve narrowed it down to either Arena(even though some here have said it can’t be there) or our GPU. We’ve just resigned to the fact that it could happen and freeze the output via our E2 and restart Arena (which fixes it) If anyone finds any useful info would be awesome.

Having same/similar issue here... Not sure if that helps anyone, but I had this issue on 4090 with 13900K processor.

Here is a little info on what I am running MCTRL4K custom resolution 5280x1056. Timing set based on the ultra high resolution spreadsheet provided by Novastar on their website.
Framerate set to 59.94 as I am running broadcast cameras for IMAG projectors, sender is also genlocked with 1080i59.94, but there was no difference in flickering whether it was plugged in or not, and whether the framerate was 59.94 or 60.

Two things that seemed to work - When I switched to a single Windowed output to the sender, flicker went away. In fullscreen mode flicker was still there, but in windowed seemed working fine.

Since I am actually running multiple outputs, not just the LED wall, what I ended up doing and so far it seems to have solved the issue, I went to 3840x2160 resolution and changed my patch to two halves (Left and Right) and mapped it using advanced output. The flicker went away when I switched. So it seems that there is some problem with non standard resolutions maybe?

Few things that I tried before changing the resolution:
Updated nvidia drivers to latest (the 516.94 didn't seem to be compatible with my system) - Did not fix
Updated firmware on MCTRL4K. - Did not fix
Updated NovaLCT - Did not fix
Updated Resolume to 7.18.2 - Did not fix
Tried various nvidia settings - Did not fix
