Will I need to update Wire each time I update Avenue?

It's Black Friday and I just got paid for a gig so I'm tempted to buy Wire and update my Avenue licence.

I get little paid work as a VJ so I won't always be able to justify future Wire updates.

If I update only my Avenue licence next Black Friday, will my "old" version of Wire still work with the updated Avenue?

Wire licenses work with any previous Wire versions. Wire was released with Resolume 7.4,
You can get the best compatibility if you build your patches in this first version, then it will work with any later Resolume release.
We released nice feature updates though for Wire since the initial release.

I'd choose the oldest version of my Resolume Avenue or Arena, and make my patches in that Wire version.
Those will work on the later Resolume.
