Not sure if this should be in Bugs or a request for New Feature, but replacing a clip by dragging a new file onto it preserves all animations, effects, etc... except for Opacity. I get that it's part of the clip properties itself, so maybe that's a distinction that makes it difficult to make this happen.
Either way, I always have to check what I had previously set my Opacity animation to before replacing. Minor inconvenience, but it'd be nice if it was fixed.
Thanks

Re: Replace Clip doesn't preserve Opacity
Well, you're replacing the clip.
Try replacing the Video track in the clip panel, that should keep the opacity setting.

Brilliant. Didn't realize that was an option. Thank you!

Re: Replace Clip doesn't preserve Opacity
Excuse me for interrupting, regarding the replacement of clips, it would be great if there was an option to preserve the IN and OUT points of the Transport. This would be especially useful when replacing a clip with another of the same length that has only minor content modifications.
