Since the introduction of "Clip Position" as a source of animation for any parameter, it is possible to scrub through generative content.
Despite there currently being no visible scrubbable timeline for such content, if a MIDI controller is used, one can map a knob to the scrubbable timeline of a clip with video content, set this to "selected clip" and voila! You can now scrub generative content which is awesome.
With all this in mind I can't see why both Beatloopr and cues are disabled for this kind of content as it appears that the functionality for them to work is already in place. Likewise for the disappearance of the timeline under "Transport" when generative sources are used.
Enabling them would be a small step for Resolume and a huge leap for mankind!
Enable beatloopr and cues for generative content
Re: Enable beatloopr and cues for generative content
WHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
I've just discovered that this is already enabled!
I can use Beatloopr on generative content as long as it's MIDI mapped previously on a clip with video.
I'm well happy about this but I still don't understand why the functionality is there but the interface doesn't reflect it.
Off to see if cues also work
