OSC/Midi shortcuts for presets

Post by cat »

Be great to be able to trigger presets, could done in the same way as the blend modes, so a osc value/midi cc to scroll through.

Have you looked into Bomes or Chataigne?

The presets aren't accessible to midi or osc. If you mean preseting in an external program, then yes that is an option but you'd have to have every show setup the same for the targets to remain the same. I'm more improv than that. I have some wire sources that have 15-20 presets in them, that I might drop into a show, and yes I could go to the menu and click to swap, but I'd rather not, there is already midi for dropdowns, it shouldn't be too far abstracted to use it for presets too, ideally with a clip /layer focus, fx1 presets, fx2 presets etc so you can have knobs already setup to scroll.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. You meant FX presets, when I was thinking of external hardware mapping presets.
+1 for me on this request. Being able to select FX presets with an encoder would be great. :)

tbh +1 for presets too :D I've been meaning to make something in vvvv, as i already have a presets system built in there, and just need to wade through all the osc to get them in there tbh!
