Dear Resolumees,
I have weird timing issues triggering my projector shutter via DMX->Art-Net KissBox->Resolume->Chantaigne->PanasonicProjector.
I am not shure where that is coming from and have following idea: I have made a Wire OSC patch as a source in resolume which is triggered via DMX. When is the OSC message send?
Is it bound to the pix frame-rate? So lets say i have a framerate of 50fps, is the OSC triggered on the next rendercycle? So up to 20ms after the trigger?
thx in advance for some inside knowledge

OSC message timing
Re: OSC message timing
OSC data only updates on rederpass, as that's where parameter values are changed.
If you already use Chataigne, why not leave out Resolume and additional steps in the chain to control the shutter?
I'd guess the shutter has it's own latency too.

Re: OSC message timing
thx for the reply and the insite! The shutter has its own latency, but i think, it is very predictable. I want to use resolume for the commands, because that way Resolume triggers the events, and in the case that DMX is not working, or the colleague who pushes the DMX button takes a different route, i can trigger things manualy more easly.
