Crossfading with DMX

It is controlled by DMX.
When crossfading between layers using each layer's Master fader, it goes completely white once and then crossfades.
When I set Ppacity to 50%, it sometimes crosses over nicely, is this due to the Transition settings?

Change your blend mode.

Changing the composite Blend Mode made no difference, but changing the Mode of each layer to Alpha solved the problem!
It's now just how I wanted it.

Yeah layer blend mode to alpha will show full white at 50% most of the time. Alpha should get you what you're after.
