Midi Input greyed Out

Hey there!

I have a weird behavior that is haunting me down for a while now. I didn´t find anything about similar cases anywhere on the internet.

I´m using v 7.20.1 at the moment but the "bug was present in all versions I used over the last two years. As a Midi Controller Im using an APC 40 MK2.

When I create Midi Shortcuts, at first everything works fine. But sometimes Resolume keeps all my Midi Mappings, but the Input Dropdown says APC40 in a greyed out text. In these cases the midi shortcuts won´t work. I have to select the APC40 again in the Dropdown Menu. Setting the shortcut to "All devices" fixes it too, but is not a good solution for my workflow. Refreshing the Midi devices doesnt help. pressing all buttons doesn´t help. Neither does restarting Resolume, Reloading the midi mapping or switching USB Ports. I work with MAC and Widnows and different Hubs/Docking Stations from time to time but couldn´t figure out a pattern yet.

I couldn´t even find a clear answer what the greyed out text means.

Can anybody help me? reassigning all the Midi Shortcuts in my Startup file takes nearly 30 minutes, it´s pretty anoying.

Is the APC input still enabled in the preferences when this happens?

Are you moving your settings between computers?
