Resolume 7.21.3 & Declink 8k pro memory leak.

Post by ezajohn »

Hi!

I have 3 x 3G-SDI out in use. I noticed that resolume "eats" memory all the time. Sometimes it go to 50-60% and drop back to 45%, but sometimes it goes to 100% and crash.
It could take 2h or more, but at the end it crash.

All content are dxv and png.

Declink driver version is 14.2

If i disable sdi outs and use dp outs instead, then it works.

Does the same leak happen with 7.21.2 for you?

You can download installers for all previous versions from the dropdown-menus on the bottom of our download-page: https://resolume.com/download

Is there any problem to open show made by 7.21.3 with 7.21.2?

No there shouldn't be any issues.

You can always make a copy of your "Resolume Arena"-folder from your user documents folder to be on the safe side.

Hi!

With 7.21.2 same happen. About in half an hour memory use rise from 22% to 38%.
I Just output 1920x1080 png to 3 different sdi output.
Windows resource monitor shows that arena.exe consume 6000-10000kB more memory every second.

Should resolume flush all "used" frames from memory immediately
or does it make bigger flush after some amount of time?

Do you set the color range for your DeckLink to SMPTE in advanced output?

Yes, and all outputs are 1080p50 rec709.
Resolume canvas is 3 x 5760 x 1080 fps50 8bit. Output map. Leftside-OUT1, Center-OUT2, Rightside-OUT3.

Can you try if the issue is fixed when you change the color range from SMPTE to Full RGB?
There was a memory leak issue with SMPTE color range on DeckLink cards that will be fixed with 7.22.

Yes! That was the reason. With RGB there is no leak. Thanks a lot Christoph!
