Arena 7.21.3 rev38686 hangs on startup

Hi there,

I've got an issue starting up Arena 7.21.3 on a Windows 10 PC. Version 5 runs without an issue, but a fresh install of version 7.21.3 rev38686 won't get past the "Initialize Application Framework" section of the splash screen... it just hangs there forever until I get the "Resolume Arena is not responding" OS dialog box. Same version of Wire opens just fine.

NVIDIA driver version 522.86 on an RTX8000.

I've tried deleting all previous folders in Documents, AppData, removing the application and re-installing, etc to no effect.

Any thoughts? Logfile is attached below-

Update drivers for the dedicated and integrated GPUs.

Copy that, thanks, didn't realize I'd turned off the auto update.

I tried upgrading to Nvidia Studio driver 561.09, and the standard WHQL 553.09 and had the same result as before... Each time after a driver install it asked me to recreate and restart the NVIDIA profile, but then got to the same "initalizing application framework" and hung. Integrated GPU is disabled in BIOS so it's only the one display device showing in Windows.

Next thoughts? and thank you!

Try enabling the integrated gpu, and updating it'a drivers also.

Thanks- I'm running a Ryzen 5, so it doesn't have an integrated GPU. The motherboard video options don't even show up in the BIOS with a Ryzen installed.

Which exact CPU is it?

If you do a clean driver re-install, and choose not to load the nvidia profile, does Resolume start then?
