DVDMax - how do I turn it on?

Post by Anonymous »

Hi,

I've been looking for this setting but I can't find it. I saw someone saying it was in "Misc" in settings, but I can't see any Misc section in settings!

what kind of a card do you have?

If you have ATi card you must enable 'theatre mode' in the driver control panel...
right-click desktop>properties>displays>advanced (from memory I think). It's there somewhere, under overlay options I think but I'm not at the right computer to check.
If you have the new ATi CCC, then just use the display setup wizard thing which is very simple.

Then, enable it in resolume by clicking the button marked 'displays'(?again, I think, you'll find it) under the preview window.

If you don't have a Matrox or ATi card I doubt you will have a DVD-Max type mode, although I think Nvidia may have one now...

I've got a Matrox P750... DVDMax is enabled in the drivers, and I'm trying to get the main window on monitor 1, the output on monitor 2 (projector) and the output mirrored via DVDMax to the "features" TV output 3 thing... but it's not working.

I meant 'screen setup' button in res, but I presume you've found that...

Hi All,
in resolume 1.51 it was in the misc tab of the preferences winow.
In resolume 2.x you can find it in the screen setup window.

if you want to use theatre mode or dvdmax make sure your screens are in clone mode. So the content of your primary is cloned on your second screen.
Only then DvdMax will appear in the screen setup. That's the way it works, there is no other way.
So set it to clone mode, start resolume and open screen setup.
DvdMax will appear as an extra display.

Cheers
Edwin

doesn't sound like it'll do what I want then - when in 3-monitors mode, "Clone" isn't an option... it'll only do Clone on 2-monitors settings, which is no use anyway as I wanted to use it to get the DVDMax output on the 3rd display!

never mind

Hi,
well we have no experience with dvdmax when using three screens.
we thought that that wasn't possible, that's why we left out the dvdmax mode when more monitors are attached.
the only thing i can suggest now is to just use the normal method in resolume to get all screens working, so enable all monitors in windows, start up resolume and enable all screens and set them up how you like. Maybe the mirror can de done with the projector ?
