Re: World wide FFGL plugins list
Thank you very much for your list. Great and certainly very helpful if the list is always updated. I would think it would be good if you added two notes to each entry,
A) for Mac or Win or Mac&Win
B) free or the amount in USD/€ that a license costs.
& It would be nice if you listed all the free ones first and then put a small dividing line between the ones that are not free.
I would be happy to help you expand the list and would be happy if other forum users did the same.
So I once searched on VJun.io with "FFGL" and I am happy to llist them I found , please check for yourself which Resolume Arena/Avenue version they can run on, I am assuming V 7.xx for now.
So please add this to your list:

Re: World wide FFGL plugins list
i grew up poor so i appreciate when people would share their work or knowledge for free. whenever i found the time i tried to answer questions on forums and irl and help fellow vjs with equipment and advice. when someone asked for a fisheye correction solution i remembered i made a plugin for myself at some point, i looked for it, i re-tested it, i packaged it for the newly launched resolume 7 a well for the older 6 and 5 [each had different ffgl versions] and gave it away for free on the forum. later someone else asked about an ascii effect, and though there was one very nicely made, with some advanced options, i thought some might appreciate a simpler one for free. i thought about adding some extra features but i changed my mind because i thought the other guys making better plugins than me deserve to be paid for their work. for simplicity [for everyone else, not for me] i took the time to make some graphics describing what each plugin does and offered them for free on gumroad.
i was really happy seeing people downloading my stuff, i was even happier when someone actually paid for one of them. my asking price was zero, my recommended price is zero, so someone actively decided to change that and pay for my stuff. i get paid up to four figures for vjing but the joy i got the day i got my first 0.7 usd after tax, i haven't felt that in a while. it puts a smile on your face.
almost comparable with the sadness i felt two days ago when i got an anonymous two star review for it. though he posted anonymously, gumroad provides the creator with emails for all the product interactions, so i was able to email him about the issue. it seems that he couldn't download the plugin. i want to thank him for pointing that out, i suppose there was an issue with the platform, since most of the people were able to download and some even gave it five stars. i had to rewrite it, i never backed it up, i just made it and uploaded it. lesson learned. took me about three hours to make it and another one to test that everything was in order. good news is that just as the fisheye correction plugin, the ascii one will be available for resolume 5 and 6 as well. bad news is that the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and i will start charging for my plugins. my hope is that the small effort required will keep away people that aren't actively interested in the plugins and hopefully it will help me create more plugins in the future. for those that value that dollar more than they value their time, like i used to in my early days, i'm sure you can still find the plugin somewhere on the forum or by asking a friend, they were free for a couple of years.
tldr for Christoph, please move my two plugins to the paid section
ps while i was writing this i noticed the rating was removed when i issued the unsatisfied customer a full refund, but just so you don't think this whole story was made up so i can raise prices you can check the attachment. the new prices were set by my kid, he wanted 5 at first but i'm the better negociator.
