We're working on it.
For the time being try using drag and drop to open files.
You can also drop the input and output guide into Advanced screen setup.
Grab the file from finder, move it over the Resolume icon in the dock to activate Resolume, and then move the file over the Advanced output window, and release it.
This will place the file as input or output map, depending on which tab you have active.

Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
Hello, I´m having the same issue. If I try to change de Record Directory in the General Preferences, once I hit Browse, it crash.
Resolume 6.0.1 Final
Resolume 6.0.1 Final
Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
I've just downloaded version 6.0.2 but it still crashes.
I don't think there is any relation to read/write permissions for folders - it stucks already before it zooms the file dialog to its full size.
And I can open folders and files from the browser panel.
I guess the problem is not related to the file or folder access but to the display of them or the file window of OSX.

Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
6.0.3 does the same as the previous versions. crashes as it tries to show the dialog.
Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
OK, found something:
when I was installing Arena or Avenue 6 I always moved the entire Resolume folder from /Applications to a subfolder /Applications/_Video where I generally keep video apps. After that the config.xml file had two entries for Audio plugins:
"<AudioPluginManager name="AudioPluginManager">
<folders pluginFolder0="/Applications/_Video/Resolume Avenue 6/plugins/afx" pluginFolder1="/Applications/Resolume Avenue 6/plugins/afx"/>
</AudioPluginManager>
"
That is, the old original path and the new one. After having moved Resolume the old path doesn't exist anymore and this might be the reason for a crash.
I didn't touch the audio plugins prefs, it was generated like this by Resolume.
There were no such entries for video/FFGL plugins, not even for the standard vfx folder.
When I delete the config.xml and restart Resolume I get a new config.xml without any plugin folder entry (neither afx nor vfx) - and then I can open a file dialog in the Preferences and can set a new ffgl folder for my plugins without crashing the program ! And Resolume does find the new plugins.
But after having done that, any other try to open a file dialog (for plugins, compositions etc.) crashes Resolume again as before.
So I guess the problem is related to the config file and its entries.
What is conspicuous: the entry for FFGL plugins has a very different structure from the one for VST plugins:
"
<VideoEngine name="VideoEngine">
<Params name="Params">
<Param name="Show FPS" default="0" value="1"/>
<ParamStrings name="PluginDirectories">
<Value value="/Users/abart/Documents/ABFFGL64"/>
</ParamStrings>
</Params>
</VideoEngine>
"

Have you tried to move the app back to the original location?andre_b wrote:That is, the old original path and the new one. After having moved Resolume the old path doesn't exist anymore and this might be the reason for a crash.
I've done some tests with unusual directory paths, but couldn't recreate the issue on my el-capitan machine this way.

I did but I can't reproduce that behavior.Zoltán wrote: Have you tried to move the app back to the original location?

When I do a fresh install of Avenue or Arena 6.03 the config file doesn't have that strange entry with afx directories anymore. Regardless if I move the app or leave it where it was. Maybe it was only an issue with 6.02 or 6.01.
Anyway both Avenue and Arena 6.03 are still crashing on any attempt to show a file dialog. (with MacOS 10.10.5)
Fortunately now I know how to set plugin paths manually in the config file ...
Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
Just reporting that 6.0.5 still crashes on dialogs for me on Yosemite.
I did an update to Sierra and it worked fine opening but any mask layers gave me an instant 10fps drop when engaged so I rolled back.

Re: Avenue 6 crashes on file dialogs
Each version I check to see if this is working. I still crash on opening file dialogs. Confirming 6.0.6 has the same fatal flaw for 10.10.5. Anyone else feeling this pain?Zoltán wrote:We're working on it.

Do you have dropbox installed?knappy wrote:Each version I check to see if this is working. I still crash on opening file dialogs. Confirming 6.0.6 has the same fatal flaw for 10.10.5. Anyone else feeling this pain?
I found this https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1611689
The crash log the OP posted there looks similar to what we get reported.
Could you give uninstalling dropbox, updating it to a more recent version a try?
