Is this a definite fix? I'm a bit apprehensive to upgrade from the previous discussion in this thread about a possible drop in fps, also we'd just rather not change haha. We will do if it will definitely make it work though?

We found a workaround for this issue finally.
As it turns out, the crashing is due to something inside OSX 10.10, but can be circumvented by not using any audio plugins.
This is because the scanning of audio plugins messes something up inside macos's "PluginKit framework" that gets called then you display a native File open dialog.
Since the application always scans the "Resolume (Avenue / Arena) 6/plugins/afx folder, a workaround is to remove the plugin files in that folder. Also, remove any plugin folder paths in the audio preferences.
Note that after an update, the plugins will be reinstalled and have to be removed again. Or, just update macos.
