recording composition WITH AUDIO IN

hey all,

So i am looking for a way to record a composition with audio in from a dj. cant seem to figure out this one, i have audio in from my dj, but that only seems to work as a modifier and nothing else. is there any way to do this? alternative ideas outside of resolume would be acceptable but i feel like this should be do able.

and just to clarify, i would like to simply record and have the end file be that video segment with audio and video as one, not two separate files if possible

I use external dvd recorder. and have good luck with this one- sony vrd-mc5

You can eject at end of set and play right away with no finalizing.

thats for the input, i ended up using an Extron VSC 700 and a DVD recorder, the dvd recorder had no VU meter, so that was kinda lame. Still looking for a solid internal way to record everything.
