Video Input on a Laptop

Post by clanoue »

Does anybody know of Laptops that come with VIdeo input on them stock? I have seen that the 18inch Alienware has a HDMI input and output on in. Are there any other laptop with this or ones I could build? I have built many desktops and could do a laptop. Any external cards that dont limit me to not being able to output?

Hi clanoue,
I'm owning a Alienware m18x R2... and yes..it do have an HDMI in. But it's directly linked to the Monitor of the Laptop..so you can use your notebook like a display. Not more or less. It's not possible to use this HDMI-In with any software.

Hope that helps!

Yes they do. I have a 19" 4unit high rackable computer case and a rolling gator rack to put it in. But I need to build a computer to put in it and it will never be as quick to setup.
