Hi all,
Don't know if this is a known issue or if it is something I'm doing wrong. I've just setup the Resolume software on a PC with a four head Matrox card. It all looked like it was going to work fine (extended the desktops etc) but when I clicked to playback some video it just diplayed a white screen on the output monitos and in the program preview window. I then disconnected the two extra monitors and had the output windowed in screen one and still had the same white box. To try and eliminate things I tried loading the example project (still white box) and showing the test card (also still a white box).
Does anyone have any ideas on this? I'm hoping to use it as our media playback machine at corporate events and award ceremonies but at this rate VLC is looking like my only option! Ay help would be massively appreciated.
Matrox 9148 LP no output!
Re: Matrox 9148 LP no output!
Unfortunately, Resolume is not supported at all by the Matrox cards.
This is because of the OpenGL version that they support. Resolume needs a bare minimum of 2.1, while Matrox supports only 2.0 (for comparison: the current industry standard is OpenGL 4.3, and OpenGL 2.1 was released in 2006).
Apparently Matrox is not interested in the gaming and visual markets. They work great for using spreadsheets across multiple monitors, but any accelerated graphics will not work on them.
