Hi,
In the past I've only used slices from the composition for mapping projects, but for a recent project I'm experimenting with using layers instead to reduce the size needed and craziness of the composition. I like to use composition effects for some simple things, namely brightness and contrast, trails and hue rotate, but I've found if I'm mapping using layers rather than slices from the composition, the composition effects don't apply. I realise one way around this is adding the effect to each layer and then mapping it to the same knob or button on my controller, but was wondering if there was a simpler way? Also blend modes don't make a difference with this technique, is there still a way of using them? Thanks!
Global effects on routed layers
Re: Global effects on routed layers
Global effects and blend modes can not be applied on a layer. This is inherent to how Resolume works, and will not be changed in the near future.

Re: Global effects on routed layers
Thanks for the reply. I figured as much, was just wondering if I was overlooking something simple. Just means adding the effect to each layer and mapping accordingly. Did realise that when I save an effect preset it saves the composition mapping I've assigned which is great as it means I don't need to repeat the process each time. Thanks again for an amazing product!
