clip BPM changing

Post by mowgli »

Clips seem to change their set BPM when opening a document. I have a bunch of audiovisual clips made at 120BPM. As it turns out I have to manually adjust the BPM setting for every clip when I import them to resolume as the auto bpm read tends to have decimal places. After doing this, if I open the document again with resolume's midi clock set to anything but 120, the bpm of SOME of the clips sets itself to that figure making it unusable. Any reason why this might be?

I've just noticed that in some cases rather than setting the clip's BPM to whatever the midi clock is set to, resolume just decides to add the decimal places that I spent a while removing manually!

This was a bug on an earlier version. Are you on 4.1.4 (or 4.1.3)?

I've updated to the latest version and I'm still having issues.
•I open the comp with the master clock set at 120bpm (the clips were made at 120bpm) everything is fine.
•I then change the master bpm to 126bpm - everything is fine and in time
•I then save the comp with the master bpm set to 126bpm, I close resolume and then reopen the comp
•Some clips have changed their native bpm to 126 and I need to manually set them to their true 120bpm.
The clips that do this are random and not always the same ones. I really need to resolve this!
thanks

Is setting the clips to beats maybe an option for you?

I'm doing some tests with one layer with 9 clips.
2 of them are fine, the other 7 change bpms as explained. These are audio only clips, I haven't tested yet with av clips. The weird thing is that there is no difference between the clips that change bpm and the ones that don't.

ok it's also happening with some av clips (audio and video being different files) the good news is that apparently decimal places are no longer added to the bpm
