Can you perhaps take a screenshot of the distortion, so we have a better idea of what could be going on?

It doesnt have an image anymore most of the time it black and sometimes it says no image on the preview screen but its from the capture card. but the capture card still works through its viewer.

I don´t know why, but what you need to do is first run the avermedia reccentral software so your captured source is visible on your system. Don´t start to record it, just close reccentral once you see it on screen. AFTER that you can run resolume. Although, you need to set your resolume composition size to the same size as the resolution of your captured source. Then you can load the avermedia source on your comp and see it working. THEN you can re-size your comp to what ever size you need.
The annoying thing is that every time you start resolume you must repeat the same process. No matter if you saved your comp previously. Why? I don´t know.
I just found out that it worked that way.

Cheers!
