Hi there everyone. I´ve searched around the forum and couldn´t find the real answer for my problem. It´s not a Resolume issue but since we are all on the same boat maybe someone can help me.
I am doing a play with 2 projectors. Outputting the scenes from a 13 inch mid-2010 macbook pro using a Matrox TrippleHead2Go Analog edition.
I happened to have the Matrox config software installed on it from another job I made years ago and everything worked fine and smooth.
Well we got a long break and I decided it was time to upgrade my OS and give the laptop a well deserved formatting.
Only thing is I forgot to check the Matrox website before doing so and now I can´t find the darn software/driver/utility anymore. In fact all I see there is that this card is not even supported on macs.
Bare with me I´m not crazy and I haven´t been sleeping for 3 years on a long dream (or have I?) I was using this very card 2 weeks ago.
Anyone have any ideas to help me on that one? I have tried every download at my disposal on the Matrox site and no success.
I do remember it was easy as pie the first time.
Did they just do that so I have to buy a new "mac compatible" card?
I´m quite puzzled.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after formating
Re: Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after format
I do own a MTH2G Analog, running on a MacBookPro as well.
When I bought it, I realized that the CD did not include MAC drivers or any software for installation.
I emailed Matrox support to realize that the TH2G is actually not compatible with all MacBookPro versions.
Don´t ask me what, how or why. That´s the info I got from their support. If I recall properly, O.S was also an issue.
Lucky me, mine works fine with my MacBookPro. It should work as plug and play, I guess.
Important info: the analog edition (VGA) is also discontinued.
Sorry if I couldn´t be of much help. I´d try downgrading your O.S back to its original version. Sorry.

Re: Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after format
Thanks anyway for sharing your experience. It puzzles me why they would stop providing the driver if it was working for some people instead of just adding some sort of disclaimer. It´s not even in the old drivers section.
I tried the plug and play way with no luck.
Guess I´ll just keep on trying.
Thanks again for the reply.

Re: Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after format
If you get desperate, there´s still another way.
Install a PC partition. Install windows and Arena for Windows.
CD has Windows Drivers. But I don´t believe that it may be compatible with every windows also. Perhaps only 32 bits.

Re: Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after format
Indeed that was one of my thoughts at first but since I do not own the MTH2G and it´s currently being used only for the play I got the producers to rent a windows machine so everything goes smooth and with no surprises.
I´m actually glad it happened now because I was almost purchasing a DH2G Analog Edition and it would make me very very angry.
Thanks again for the suggestion!
Cheers.

If you know someone selling one, I have people interested on buying.
And seems to me that we are in the same region.
good luck

Thanks!
I actually found some used ones on ebay that would be worth the ridiculous taxes we have to pay on electronics in out country compared to the offers I get here.

Re: Matrox TrippleHead2Go and Mac - not working after format
I just had some issues with a MTH2G Digital Edition this weekend.
Because of that I decided to check on my Analog Edition. I still have my original package.
Fact: MatroxTH2G Analog Edition (VGA) is officially not compatible with Mac OS. Listed as system requirements, just Windows.
My Mac recognizes it as plug and play but with a 2400x600 resolution only.
I wish I could use higher resolutions, as high as the product capability, up to 3840x1024. But there´s no Matrox software available for this version and Mac OS. And the Analog Edition is discontinued.
I don´t see a way out of it.
Anyone?
