Duplicated output

Hi Everyone!

I did a quick search and found multiple posts similar, albeit more complex than my issue. So I thought I'd post it in hope of a solution from you knowledgeable folk.

I'm doing an outdoor gig soon and I'll be using two projectors (daisy-chained together) on either side of the stage to project onto two custom shaped screens (they won't be identical, but close). I want the screens to be projecting the same content, but will need to be able to mask the shapes respectively. Is that possible given that the projectors will essentially be projecting the same output?

If I got it right, you are using some sorte of video spliter so you have one single output from your computer to both projectors.
If you get that properly mapped on each shape, you won the lottery!

You could do that easily using one single projector, if your mapping surfaces were not so far from each other;
You could do that easily and better, using two projectors and a dual head or a tripple head;
You could do that easily and better if your computer had two video outputs - one for each projector.

As you don´t have identical shapes and you cannot guarantee that projectors are located 100% accurate and the same to each shape, that´s a quite impossible shot the way I see it.

Yea you got it right. One output, duplicated across two projectors. We have two of these big screens http://www.stretch-projector-screens.co ... tretch-4-3 that I am going to build frames for, so they will be identical!

I agree that they could be mapped, but they are going to be too far apart this time.

If you have projectors with internal software that allows for mapping/keystoning/warping/etc its pretty easy to do this (same output to two projos on different surfaces)...

it really depends on the projectors you're using...

I'm assuming not something with those capabilities?
