Parenting Layers

Post by pfelberg »

It would be nice to be able to parent and unparent layers like this:
I have four layers. Layer 1 on top. Layer 4 at the bottom.
I want to use layer 2 to mask layer 3 but not layer 4.
So I would parent layer 3 to layer 2 for that moment.
That way layer 4 wouldn´t be unnafected by layer 2 masking/blending modes.
That´s it.

Please consider that, Resolume Team.

Tks

Have you tried routing your layers using a layer router or through the advanced output?

This is not meant to be fixed to the entire show.
The idea is to be able to change this on the fly, quickly, at will.
Layering routing will not do that.
thank you!
