Tour situation

Post by ld8807 »

Hi guys,

I would like to have your input..
I'm going on tour this next november and it will be the first time that i will use Resolume Arena 4 to project my vdo.

Here's the situation:

I will connect a Akai MPD-26 to my Resolume by midi to control all the vdo/fx...
But the thing is.. my drummer use a Roland SPD-SX to trig some waves samples...
And i'm wondering if it's possible to link his pad (Roland spd-sx) to my Resolume..
So that it could trig some video in the same time that he trig a specific samples...
Do i just need to link my Akai MPD-26 to his Roland SPD-SX by a midi cable ..and assign some midi note to his pad and that's it?

I don't even know if it's possible to assign a midi note and waves/samples on the same pad on the Roland SPD-SX...Anyone know about it?

Other things;
If it work by simply link all my midi controller by midi cable, after 50 feet, midi signal goes wrong... (cause my main laptop with resolume and my akai mpd-26 is in front of house in the venue and my drummer and his roland spd-sx his on stage...and it's always like 150-200 feet between us in each venue...)
How i can link those?

Thanks in advance! ;-)

Take a look at this unit that will carry MIDI signal up to 1000ft: https://jlcooper.com/_php/product.php?prod=mlaxlr. Keep in mind you need two units.
