Hello, I'm trying to expand on Piano mode. As I understand it, Piano Mode jumps from 0% to 100% when a clip is launched. Basically, I'd like to map my clips to a midi keyboard and I want the key to act similar to a fader in that when I push a key halfway down my clip opacity is 50% and all the way down it's 100% (and all the % steps in between) I'm not sure if this is possible but I thought I'd reach out here to see if anybody had insight.
Much appreciated.
Clip Piano Mode - Opacity Question
Re: Clip Piano Mode - Opacity Question
i only know buttons as 0 or 1 so they dont react to 50%... its either on or off, so its not possible i think,
but here are some ppl around having much more experience with midi and stuff... just wait a bit and they may will show their knowlege
you may can test if your midi interface have special values sended for pressing a button only half way ( bones or other midi stuff can do this i guess)

Re: Clip Piano Mode - Opacity Question
you can map the velocity of the key to the opacity slider of the clip, and the note to the clip lauch in composition midi map mode.
to do this, select the clip you want to map, swich to composition midi mapping, click on the opacity slider of the clip, press the key on your keyboard, check velocity you can set the rande if you want.
then, click on the clip as if you would launch it with mouse, then press the midi key again.
repeat for all the clips, with different notes.
