Hi, I'm brand new to using this software.
I'm currently extending the desktop to 10 60" Vizio HDTV's. They're plugged into the exact same mini DisplayPorts on two AMD Radeon HD7870's every single time.
It seems like every time I open Resolume, it does not detect the 10 monitors in the same order. Is there a way to make this consistent so I do have to redo the mapping every single time?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Kevin
Detecting TV's Consistently
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
It sounds like you're using HDMI, correct?
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
Correct, I'm using HDMI with Active Mini DisplayPort Adaptors.
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
TVs with Hdmi can be tricky that way especially if they all have the same EDID. Have you tried powering your TVs in the order you want them?
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
No, but I will try that this evening. I hope that works.Oaktown wrote:TVs with Hdmi can be tricky that way especially if they all have the same EDID. Have you tried powering your TVs in the order you want them?
Is there a better way I should be connecting this other than HDMI?
Thank you!
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
I personally use blackmagic SDI converters to send HDMI signals which is very reliable but tends to be expensive. As an alternative, this Geffen EDID detector might be a good option for you: http://www.gefen.com/kvm/ext-hdmi-edidp ... od_id=8005
Re: Detecting TV's Consistently
Thanks for this suggestion. It's good to know. We have them starting up consistently now with the order and method we plug them. We shut completely down, unplugged and plugged in our setup 15+ times Saturday and have all 10 displaying consistently. I appreciate your help! Hi
We use these devices once setup it fools windows into thinking the tv's will be connected even when they are off
http://www.lindy.co.uk/audio-video-c2/m ... edid-p8234
You will need to buy a programmer also to program the above devices with edid information from you tv's

Cheapest option we have found to stop windows auto-detect from working
