Content creation

Post by flik »

Just wondering what people are using for content creation. I usually rely on video clips that I have shot with my video camera and then creatively edit. I'd like to get into making some computer generated animations but am not sure what software to go with. I'm looking for something that is fairly easy to use.

Thanks

I would start with After Effects and get the hang of 2d animations. You can get plenty of plugins from http://www.videocopilot.net/, http://www.redgiant.com/products/trapcode-suite/, http://aescripts.com/ to get you started. If you plan on moving into 3D visuals I would go with a program like Cinema 4D or Maya. There are a vast amount of tutorials on the web and a good reliable source is http://greyscalegorilla.com/. Practice, practice, practice! :P
