Resoulme seems to be reading the wrong resolution

Resoulme seems to be reading the wrong resolution in several clips.
The clips are 1024x768 but resolume reads 930x768.
When I adjust the resolution to 1024x768 in the layer settings the clips are obviously stretched.

Is it a known issue or am I not understanding something obvious?

This sounds to me like a problem with non-square pixels.

Back in the days of digital video tapes, SD widescreen and very early high definition, engineers thought it would be a good idea to save space by squeezing pixels for storage and then unsqueezing them on the screen.

So a 4:3 PAL signal would be stored as 720x576 ( note that that ratio is in fact 5:4! ) and then unsqueezed by a factor of 1.09 to be viewed correctly on 4x3 screens.

What I think is happening is that your editing app is using one of these non-square pixel aspect ratios as the default for your sequence. Quicktime Player recognizes this, and reports the stretched dimensions as the size of your video. That is of course poppycock, because those pixels aren't really there.

Just make sure your PAR is square and all will be dandy, in Quicktime Player, Resolume and everywhere else.
