AMD or Intel? it really does not matter ... go for the most bang for your buck!

i have an athlon - runs fine under all sorts of conditions it was never meant to...
- does run a little hot - but i've not had a p4 to compare it to, and extra cooling fans are cheap

I run resolume on a Athlon TBird 1.2ghz, and I've never had any problems at all. One of my coworkers picked up a 1.4ghz P4, and I ran some benchmarks on both my machine and his, and they were within a couple percent of each other on nearly every test. I bought my Athlon last October, and he bought the P4 a couple weeks ago, and still payed >$100 more then I did.
