movs can't be shown in Resolume 5

Post by resolumeuer1962 »

I instllalled Resolume 5.01 on my new machine. It is a Laptop MSI Intel I7-5700HQ CPU 2,70 Ghz 16Gb Ram Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M 2Gb Ram.
In my Datafolder there are all .mov Files, which were running on the old machine with resolume 4 .
But now, after copying all the data files on to the new machine, it is not possible to use them in Resolume 5.01. The names are shown in the browserwindow, but the preshowpics are not there, only a yellow X left of each filename instead of the preshowpics.
If I start them with the regular filemanager out of Resolume, the videos are shown on the screen.
What is wrong there?
Thanks for help.

Make sure you have QuickTime installed on your computer. Go to Programs, QuickTime, and click QuickTime Player. If QuickTime is not found it is not installed on your computer.

This is shit. Quick time is not installed, but after downloading the last version, the quicktime installer says, that it is not for windows 10 and stopps the installation.
So I can't use Resolume 5 with windows 10.
What now?

For all, who have the same trouble with a new win 10 installation and the incompatibility of quicktime, that will not be installed on win 10.
I have found a solution to solve the problem. Here is the website, where I found it.

https://tommynation.com/install-quicktime-windows-10/

After I followed the instructions, quicktime was succesfully installed.

Now it is all running well.
