selecting slice by clicking near snap point snaps slice

Selecting a slice by single mouse clicking on it in the transformation area when the slice is near a snapping point snaps the slice to the point/line.
This is very frustrating, to have to undo and select the slice from the list again so I can move any of its points.
(if the slice is already selected and clicked the same way without mouse movement, the slice stays in place)
